Where is the Unipol Forum in Milan?

The Unipol Forum (formerly Forum di Assago) is one of Italy’s largest arenas. It sits in the southwestern suburbs of Milan, in the municipality of Assago, and is connected to the city by metro, road and rail

In May 2024 Unipol Group acquired naming rights, renaming the venue Unipol Forum under an agreement that runs until at least December 2026. The arena can host up to 15,800 spectators, making it a prime location for international concerts and sports events.

By Subway (M2 – Green Line) or Bus

The simplest way to reach the Unipol Forum is by metro line M2, direction “Assago – Milanofiori Forum”. Don’t board the branch toward Abbiategrasso, which goes in the opposite direction. Exit at Assago Milanofiori Forum; covered pedestrian walkways lead directly from the station to the arena.

The Milan integrated fare system (STIBM) covers the journey to Assago. A standard Mi1–Mi3 ticket costs €2.20 and is valid for 90 minutes on the metro, buses and trams

Services run every few minutes, and after concerts the metro sometimes extends its operating hours; consult the ATM app or website before heading out.

Bus connections – Several bus lines connect nearby towns to the Assago Forum station. Moovit lists lines 321, 328, 352 and 353 among others. These can be handy if you’re staying in the first belt of suburbs.

By car and parking

Driving gives you flexibility, but traffic around the arena can be heavy on concert nights. From Milan, take the A7 Milan–Genoa motorway (Tangenziale Ovest) and exit at Assago–Milanofiori

Follow signs to the “Park B” car park. The Unipol Forum’s official Park B has a large capacity, a charging hub for electric vehicles and charges starting from about €10 per event. Parking can be purchased online in advance to guarantee a space.

As an alternative, the municipality of Assago operates park‑and‑ride lots near metro stations; these often offer special evening rates and can reduce congestion.

Arriving by train

If you’re travelling from elsewhere in Italy or abroad, reaching the Unipol Forum from Milan’s main train stations is straightforward. How to reach Milan if you are flying there

From Milan Bergamo airport (BGY)

The Flibco shuttle bus connects Bergamo Orio al Serio Airport to Milano Centrale. The journey takes roughly 50 minutes and costs around €10; children aged 4–13 pay discounted fares. Service runs from early morning (about 04:05) until late evening (around 23:55) and you can use your ticket on any departure the same day.

Once at Milano Centrale, take the M2 to Assago as described above.

Milan Malpensa airport (MXP)

You can take Flibco's bus from Malpensa airport to Milan if you land at the airport of Milan Malpensa. Buses depart every 30 minutes, and it takes only 50 minutes to get to the central Staion, depending on traffic.

A one‑way ticket from the airport to Milan costs €10, which is more convenient than the train ticket (13€)

Milan Linate Airport (LIN)

Also from Linate you can take Flibco's bus directly to Milan Central Station, it takes 25 minutes and the ticket price is 7€. From Milan Central Station you directly get on the M2 and reach the Unipol forum.

Flibco's shuttles provide a relaxing and pleasant journey, with plenty of space for luggage and legs, USB charging ports and free Wi-Fi.

What to bring and practical tips for events and concerts

Security at the Unipol Forum is strict. Leave sharp objects, aerosols, glass bottles and professional cameras at home; only compact bags roughly the size of an A4 sheet are allowed. Travel light to pass controls quickly.

To fully enjoy the evening and explore merchandise stalls or food & beverage areas, aim to arrive 90 - 120 minutes before showtime

This is especially important if you need to collect tickets or navigate large crowds. After the major concerts, the M2 may offer extended services, but you can also find taxis or ride‑hailing vehicles around the Milanofiori district. Patience is key - exits are staggered, so expect some waiting time.
