If this sentence “IT ALWAYS SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE UNTIL IT IS DONE” is motivating you, then you should check out this opportunity:

A Modern working environment

·        100% support of your initiative and enthusiasm

·        Team of like-minded people passionate about what they are doing and creating opportunity to make a difference

·        Plenty of challenges to solve and to demonstrate your expertise

·        Flexible working hours: it is not about the time spent at the office; it is about the results that you deliver

·        Office on the South of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg with opportunities of business travel across Europe

·        International team spirit

Your mission is to design, build, and evolve the data platform that powers decision-making across the business. You will help develop core components of our modern analytics stack, from data ingestion and transformation to governance and semantic modelling, ensuring that data is scalable, trustworthy, and accessible.

Beyond maintaining existing systems, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our data platform, engineering standards, and analytics capabilities. Working closely with the wider data team, you will help create the foundations that enable self-service analytics and support the business as it grows.

This is a data engineering-focused role with a strong emphasis on analytics engineering and modern data platform development.

Data Modelling & Transformation (dbt)

·        Design, develop, and maintain modular, scalable dbt models across staging, intermediate, and mart layers.

·        Contribute to the structure and maintainability of our dbt project through testing, documentation, and CI/CD best practices.

·        Continuously improve data quality, consistency, and reliability across our transformation layer.

Cloud Data Platform (Snowflake)

·        Work with and optimise our Snowflake environment, including data modelling, query performance, cost awareness, and access management.

·        Help ensure that our data platform remains scalable, reliable, and easy to work with.

·        Support the implementation of governance and semantic layer initiatives as our platform evolves.

Data Ingestion & Reliability

·        Work with Fivetran-managed data sources and support the onboarding of new systems.

·        Contribute to pipeline monitoring, schema management, testing, and overall data reliability.

·        Help identify and resolve issues across the ingestion and transformation lifecycle.

Analytics Enablement & Governance

·        Build trusted and well-documented data models that enable analysts and business stakeholders to work confidently with data.

·        Collaborate with the wider data team to translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable data solutions.

·        Ensure consistency across key business metrics and reporting foundations.

·        Contribute to metadata management, lineage tracking, and governance practices across the data platform.

·        Use dbt as a primary source of truth for documentation, testing, and model discoverability.

You have a strong foundation in data engineering and a genuine interest in building analytics platforms that are scalable, well-governed, and easy to work with.

We're looking for someone with:

·        Strong experience with modern cloud data warehouses, ideally Snowflake.

·        Deep expertise in SQL and data modelling.

·        Hands-on experience with dbt or a similar transformation framework.

·        Strong understanding of data quality, testing, documentation, and maintainable development practices.

·        Experience working with production-grade analytics or data platforms.

·        Ability to work independently and take ownership of your work in a collaborative environment.

You'll stand out if you also have:

·        Experience with Python for automation, integrations, or data tooling.

·        Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based development workflows.

·        Exposure to data governance, metadata management, lineage tracking, or data catalog initiatives.

·        Experience supporting BI platforms such as Tableau, Sigma or PowerBI.

·        Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.

We trust our employees and value autonomy. You will work in a collaborative, impact-driven culture where everyone’s voice is heard and ideas matter more than hierarchy. You will take ownership of your work, suggest improvements, and be encouraged to share your ideas.

What makes this role unique:

Data is at the heart of Flibco's ability to scale intelligently and compete effectively. This role centers on designing and building our data platform, not just maintaining it. As a Data and Analytics Engineer, you'll construct core components of our modern analytics stack, from data ingestion and transformation to governance and semantic modelling.

Working closely with the wider data team, you'll help create the foundations that enable self-service analytics and support the business as it grows. The expectation is clear: think analytically, act with purpose, and always keep performance, profitability, and operational efficiency in mind.
