As part of our expansion across Europe, we are launching FTI Germany and are looking for a Country Director to lead this strategic start-up phase. You are an entrepreneurial leader, able to combine strategic vision with strong operational execution, with a clear focus on performance. You enjoy working in a build-up environment where structure, prioritization, and fast decision-making are key, while maintaining high standards of quality and results.
As Country Director, you will take full ownership of the German market, acting as the link between Group strategy and local implementation. You will develop the regional roadmap, build a strong network of partners, and ensure excellent operational execution, with a continuous focus on growth and profitability.
You will work in close collaboration with our Luxembourg-based support teams (Business Development, Network Planning, Pricing, HR, Marketing, Administration, etc.) and will be part of an international community of Country Directors alongside your peers in the UK, Italy, and Belgium.
Your Mission:
- You take full responsibility for the German market, reporting directly to the CEO, and lead the launch and development of FTI Germany.
- You define and implement the local strategy in alignment with the Group’s vision, ensuring strong execution and measurable results.
- You build the company “from scratch”: set up the operating model, structure processes, define priorities, and implement scalable tools and standards.
- You oversee daily operations, ensuring service reliability, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement, and you are responsible to manage business plans, budgets, forecasts, and performance reporting to support sustainable and profitable growth.
- You drive commercial growth by acquiring new stakeholders, developing new regional markets, and strengthening customer loyalty.
- You build and maintain strong relationships across the German ecosystem (airports, local authorities, tourist offices, transport subcontractors, etc.).
- You negotiate key contracts with strategic partners, securing strong commercial terms and long-term collaboration.
- You are responsible for revenue, profitability, and KPI monitoring, defining annual objectives, performance indicators, and operational action plans.
- You act as the bridge between the parent company and the local organization, ensuring adaptation to the German context while maintaining alignment with Group standards.
- You work closely with our Luxembourg support teams (Business Development, Network Planning, Pricing, IT Development, HR, Marketing, Administration, etc.) to ensure consistency, performance, and efficiency across all functions.
- You actively contribute to the Country Director community and share best practices across markets (UK, Italy, Belgium, Germany), strengthening a “one team” culture and a continuous improvement mindset.
You recruit, lead, and develop your team by setting clear objectives and building a strong, engaged, and high-performing organization.

You will be the person shaping the business in Germany: building partnerships, developing markets, structuring operations, hiring the team, and delivering results from day one.
The expectations are clear: think strategically, act with an entrepreneurial mindset, execute with discipline, and drive growth — while ensuring operational excellence and profitability.
You bring 5 to 10 years of experience in leadership and business management roles (Country, Business Unit, Operations, Business Development), ideally in mobility, transport, logistics, or tourism, or in any high-operational environment. You know how to build and scale a business, combining strategic vision with hands-on execution.
You have strong business and financial steering skills (budgeting, P&L responsibility, KPI tracking, action plans) and you are comfortable working in demanding, fast-growing environments. Your modern leadership style is reflected in your ability to engage teams, set a clear direction, empower people, and deliver results within a performance-driven culture.
You are an excellent communicator and negotiator, able to manage a multi-stakeholder ecosystem (airports, partners, subcontractors, institutions) and build strong, long-term collaborations. You have a strong interest in the airport environment and mobility-related challenges, and you are comfortable in digital environments; exposure to digital platforms and ecosystems is a plus.
Fluent in German and English, any additional European language is a plus.
This position is based in Munich. We embrace a hybrid work model, offering flexibility between remote work and on-site collaboration.
